# Troubleshooting Android

Common fixes for Meddly on Android: permissions, battery optimization, Google Sign-In, gallery visibility, orientation, and uploads.

## Google Sign-In

Update Google Play Services, check network, clear Play Services cache, restart Meddly.

## Gallery (Android 13+)

Settings → Apps → Meddly → Permissions → Photos and videos → **Allow**. Older Android may use Storage permission.

## App killed during record/upload

Settings → Apps → Meddly → Battery → **Unrestricted**. On Samsung, remove Meddly from sleeping/deep sleeping apps. Keep app foreground during critical work.

## Wrong orientation

Enable auto-rotate, re-enter Camera, restart app; report persistent device issues via Support in Account Settings.

## Storage permission prompts

On Android 13+, grant **Photos and videos** even if legacy storage was granted before.

## Camera / microphone / location

Settings → Apps → Meddly → Permissions → enable Camera, Microphone, and Location (while in use).

## Upload failures

Prefer Wi‑Fi, disable Battery Saver, retry queue items, restart app.
