# Recording Events

## Overview

Meddly records one event across multiple mobile devices. The Event Manager controls group start/stop; roles define who can join and how devices behave during capture.

## Setup

Team needs at least two members before recording.

**Event Manager:** Camera tab → Select Event → Setup Event. Other cameras auto-connect during setup and capture.

**Admins, Editors, Contributors:** Join from Camera (auto-connect during setup/capture, or Join Event / Select Event).

**Early camera placement:** Event Manager taps Setup Event first; keep each device on Camera awake; confirm **Connected** on every device before the show.

## Recording

1. Event Manager starts recording → connected devices record together.
2. Event Manager stops → Admin/Editor devices stop together.
3. While recording, Contributors may start/stop their own device independently.

Clips save locally and upload for processing and Moment generation.
